Turquoise Domes

The turquoise and pink are taken to full strength, the way real southern cathedrals are painted. The texture is built large, in layers.

The Russian church is taken apart into simple solids: rectangle, arch, onion dome, cross. Some works rest on a single blue line, others are built up in full colour and gold leaf — between them lies the whole road from sketch to building.
