The red and blue are taken to full density, with no half-tones. The clock face is left light — it is the point of entry.

The Russian church is taken apart into simple solids: rectangle, arch, onion dome, cross. Some works rest on a single blue line, others are built up in full colour and gold leaf — between them lies the whole road from sketch to building.
