Russian Church

The panel, executed in relief technique with subsequent hand painting, conveys an architectural image. Golden leaf and three‑dimensional elements create a play of light that gives the work expressiveness in an interior, becoming its conceptual centre.

The Russian church is taken apart into simple solids: rectangle, arch, onion dome, cross. Some works rest on a single blue line, others are built up in full colour and gold leaf — between them lies the whole road from sketch to building.
