Standing over the Fallen

A frame known to anyone who has ever watched boxing: the winner shouting over the fallen. The ground is split into two densities, the figures built in relief.

The ring seen from above: the crowd runs off the edge, light gathers in the centre, the canvas is left clean like a screen. In one work the ring is framed with roses, in another a fighter lies down: here the bout has always already happened.
