Silence

The image of the Theotokos is executed in relief technique using gold leaf. Textured brushstrokes and gold accents create volume and depth, integrating organically into a contemporary interior.

One image — Mother and Child — in dozens of states: from the Vladimir icon to a dark face in rays of gold leaf and an almost abstract mark on blue. The series rests on the face: however little of the icon is left, it still looks at you.
