Theotokos Oranta

The work is executed in relief and hand painting technique. The image of the Theotokos with the Child is complemented by an ornamental frame featuring birds symbolising peace and grace. This panel will harmoniously fit into an interior, creating an atmosphere of coziness and spirituality.

One image — Mother and Child — in dozens of states: from the Vladimir icon to a dark face in rays of gold leaf and an almost abstract mark on blue. The series rests on the face: however little of the icon is left, it still looks at you.
