Starry Theotokos

The image of the Theotokos is executed in relief technique using gold leaf and hand painting. The textured surface and gold accents give the work depth. The panel will become a central element in an interior, adding solemnity and spiritual meaning.

One image — Mother and Child — in dozens of states: from the Vladimir icon to a dark face in rays of gold leaf and an almost abstract mark on blue. The series rests on the face: however little of the icon is left, it still looks at you.
