Relief panel executed in a technique of volumetric hand painting using gold leaf and inlay. Contrasting elements and texture create a sense of depth and three-dimensionality, organically fitting into an interior.

One image — Mother and Child — in dozens of states: from the Vladimir icon to a dark face in rays of gold leaf and an almost abstract mark on blue. The series rests on the face: however little of the icon is left, it still looks at you.
