Two Domes

The diamond pattern is shingle seen up close. Gold leaf is laid along the rib of the dome, everything beyond it is relief alone.

A church built without a single nail, taken apart into what it is made of: aspen scales of the domes, tier upon tier, the plan on a sheet. Dark wood, red and birch bark — the palette of the North, where everything is made by hand.
