Temple. Silver

The silver ground is laid in leaf, and against it the blue reads more densely. The white lines are drawn wet-on-wet.

The Russian church is taken apart into simple solids: rectangle, arch, onion dome, cross. Some works rest on a single blue line, others are built up in full colour and gold leaf — between them lies the whole road from sketch to building.
