Black Roses

The work is executed in a relief technique with the use of gold leaf. Textured strokes and gold leaf elements give the image volume and depth. This panel can become an accent element in a contemporary interior, adding irony and dynamism.

Each flower is set down in a single stroke, the vase built up in relief. Two layers of resin give a depth that flat paint cannot. Some works are carried through to pure pattern, others left painterly.
