Horse with a Halo

The toy is set into an icon scheme: halo, field, frame. The red is laid flat, without gradation.

A palm-sized toy raised to a metre and built in relief: mane, harness, dot by dot. The horse and the lady once shaped from clay and whitened with chalk now stand on gold — as what they always were: small household icons.
