Uncreated Image

The work is executed in a volumetric relief technique that mimics oil paint brushstrokes. Gold leaf and colored hand painting give the image depth, integrating organically into both contemporary and classic interiors.

One image — Mother and Child — in dozens of states: from the Vladimir icon to a dark face in rays of gold leaf and an almost abstract mark on blue. The series rests on the face: however little of the icon is left, it still looks at you.
