Before the Beginning

The image is inspired by Byzantine iconography and symbolism. Relief, hand painting and gold leaf create depth and a play of light. The work can become an accent element in an interior, adding historical depth.

A large sacred cycle: an archangel with a sword, a helmeted warrior, stained glass, blue tile with the Virgin. The works range from dense relief to almost flat painting with gold leaf, yet each stands alone as an image for the home.
