Gzhel Horse

Relief panel with traditional Gzhel ornament and a horse image. Executed in hand painting on relief that mimics a porcelain surface. The expressive image, inspired by folk art, becomes a central accent in a contemporary interior.

Gzhel without the crockery — the brushstroke itself, blue on white, taken to wall size. Relief gives the stroke volume, paint gives the blue its depth; four works, each a single pattern.
