Red Forest

Red is pushed to its limit and cast across the entire plane. The rectangle is set over it as a mark, without narrative.

Birch bark peels away in layers every few years, and its pattern never repeats. This series assembles it into a grid with graphite leaves and carries it through to a rhythm of verticals. Some fragments are left without pigment.
