Bicycle

The work is executed using gold leaf and hand painting on a relief base. A craquelure texture, imitating an aged surface, gives the image a vintage look. Golden elements of gold leaf add depth and contrast, making it an accent in a contemporary interior.

A series without a subject: gesture, stroke, blot, stripe — what is left of painting when everything it is about is removed. Black on white, blue relief, a coloured grid — works for walls that need rhythm rather than a story.
