Saint George

The work is executed in relief with gold leaf and hand painting that imitates an ancient icon. The combination of red, black and gold creates a striking accent spot in an interior, highlighting its individuality.

One subject lived through dozens of ways: rider, spear, serpent — each time in a different matter, from red ground to blue tile. A series about an image that survives any reworking and stays recognisable from across the room.
