Engraved hatching holds the figure without color, the way money was printed before halftones. A pink field is left along the edges.
A banknote is printed with the densest engraving no one ever looks at. The series blows those details up to wall size: the beetle, the portrait, the words GOOD LUCK become the subject, and money becomes just paper with a fine print.
