Essay
A bouquet in a vase is the oldest subject of domestic painting: it was painted on faience, on silk, on Flemish panels and on tiled stoves. Flowers wilt, the painting does not — that is the whole point of the genre, and it has not changed in five hundred years.
The series works with that subject in volume. A red vase with blue flowers, each bloom set with a single stroke. A vase with an inscription — an object that speaks for itself. A floral pattern on tile and red roses on ceramic — a bouquet taken to ornament. Some works are left painterly, some are reduced to pure pattern; between them lies the whole distance from still life to décor.
Relief on artboard — vase and petals modelled; thick brushwork; leaf gold on the ground and in the highlights; two coats of epoxy resin, which give the flower a depth flat paint cannot. The edition is numbered.
A series for a kitchen, a dining room, a bedroom, a hallway where flowers always stand. A bouquet that does not wilt is the simplest gift to a home.

Each work is built by hand at the st.Aura studio. The object's data is recorded in the series passport and the studio registry.
Editions
Every edition is closed: once exhausted, no further numbers are issued. Number and tier are recorded in the certificate of authenticity.
